I will be getting
one of these courtesy of the guy who is designing & building
them in the US. He doesn't mess about! He has
the right attitude and actually wants people like me to give
real feedback so he can get it right! Good man.
Shame the iBOT and other PowerChair manufacturers don't do
the same! (Read the iBOT review to see what I mean!)
He started building this PowerChair originally to help his
wife!

Manual wheelchairs to help people decide what they require.

"comparison" process and ability to see what is available on
the market is ESSENTIAL for those unfortunate people that
need to use a wheelchair.

Are you completely sick of useless "sales" people and
so "wheelchair dealers" that have no real product knowledge?
Or any idea
of what you want or need?
It seems most people
like us really are! Professional medical people are
also generally useless! So your only hope is real
knowledgeable end users of these products such as myself and
other contributors to this site.
That's what this
site is all about - But for it to work I will NEED
YOUR
HELP so as to build it up into a site that has reviews
of all the best popular powerchairs and manual wheelchairs around!
I can only see and test so much personally!
Sick of bad or totally incompetent "service" ?
Wheelchair failures, repeated
"faults", hard to get or overpriced parts? Or just the
opposite? Not all manufacturers or dealers are bad! (I
hope)... We need a list of GOOD dealers, GOOD chairs, parts,
vehicle modifiers, etc. Some deserve praise and
custom!
Please
tell me about it!
We all need to know who is good, who and what to avoid!
So please
READ

and your
reviews and/or pictures will all appear on here as soon as I
can do it! This will
eventually form a big database of reviews and
recommendations hopefully..
The more info we have the better. We need DETAILS!
Names, dates, exact chair types, fault details, type of
usage etc. Absolutely anything. Maybe just your personal
experiences. Also cushions, ramps, disability
modifications generally, like beds, vehicles, tyres, parts
suppliers,
Fed up with your local "Wheelchair Services" lack of
knowledge?
And worse their refusal to buy you what you really need? (UK
only here? I think) Other countries use insurance etc. They CAN and will buy you your
chair! With a big fight if you convince them of your
needs...

all totally
clueless. If you are one and you are NOT clueless

parts are available?
What "better" alternative parts "fit" - For example
- Different
motors or speed controllers?
Want some ideas on how to
improve your chair?
Some CORRECT info on batteries and
charging? There are some seriously bad salesmen and service
"engineers" with
absolutely contradictory advice about your batteries!
They CAUSE your batteries to die with their "advice". And I sell
the BEST batteries you can buy (at a price unfortunately)
and I use these myself of course!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
ALMOST EVERY WHEELCHAIR USER IS IN THE SAME SITUATION...
The manufacturers are little
better. Same old problems and dodgy designs for years on
end, and from my own experience they cant even send out the
right parts if you give them their OWN part numbers by fax,
email and letter. This particular company is Sunrise
Medical. But as always it depends who you speak to.
